I am known for espousing a two-year rule before committing to any ink.  Well my two-years are up and this can officially be filed under the category “Future Ink.”  The ama-gi is an ancient Sumerian cuneiform word meaning “freedom” or “liberty,” and is the first known written form of such word.  Ama-gi literally means “return to the mother,” i.e. freed.  It is frequently used as a symbol for market anarchism.  To me, it represents personal freedom – the freedom that every man, woman, and child deserves, regardless of one’s wealth, race, sexuality, nationality, etc.
